Henry of Nada.

Henry of Navarre. Jo Baier. The story behind this character is quite interesting. The movie made me read it however the movie itself did nothing for me. I think European/French movie makers are lucky. They have this amazing backdrop and scenery available and the director used it well. It all looked marvelous. Just too bad the acting could not live up to it. I think the director also took no risks at all. He just followed the technique to tell a story. At best it was a good television movie. Guess what? Jo Baier did 15 television movies before this, so he stuck to what he knew would work for him. It did not work for me. (2010)
