Needs more.

Kikujiro. Takeshi Kitano. I think this is a slapstick movie. There is a very touching soul in this movie but it is never really shown and undersnowed by moments of funniness. Takeshi has its moments, but fails to grasp a chance to make a good movie about a lonely kid traveling to see his estranged mother and ends up having the summer of his life. All in all it is not bad to see, but you expect more from him. (1997)
